International Short Film Festival of Cyprus

The International Short Film Festival of Cyprus is the official competition festival for short films in Cyprus, organised and supported by the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture in cooperation with Rialto Theatre. The main objective of the Festival, which is held every October, is to promote cinematographic art, through a diverse showcase of short films from Cyprus and across the globe.

It promotes the work of talented film makers who use creative cinematic language forms to tell a story in a short film. The International Jury, made up of prominent personalities from the film industry, awards the best films in the National and International Sections of the Festival.

One of the primary concerns of the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus is to highlight the independence of short films as an autonomous art form and to create a special environment and audience for them.
