22nd SIFF / Deadlines Extended

For 1st, 2nd or 3rd FEATURE FICTION FILM PROJECTS

EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 10th, 2017

The 15th Sofia Meetings will take place from 15th till 18th March 2018 in the framework of the 22nd Sofia International Film Festival  (8th – 18th March 2018).

Sofia Meetings is an event, supported by Creative Europe MEDIA sub-programme of the European Commission, EA Bulgarian National Film Center and Sofia Municipality.

It has two separate modules:

Feature Films Pitching – presentation of first, second and third feature fiction film projects of the director, looking for co-producers, sales and distribution.

Balkan Screenings / Works in Progress – showcase of the latest Bulgarian and regional feature and short films; Screenings of works by filmmakers whose projects have been presented at Sofia Meetings. The screenings are for professionals: for directors and programmers of international film festivals, sales companies and distributors; some of them are also for journalists.

More than 100 key decision makers: producers, distributors, representatives of the film markets, sales companies, film funds, TV buyers and other film professionals from Europe and the region, as well as representatives of the key film festivals are expected to attend the event. Beside the main programmes we offer workshops, panels, presentations, Europe Distribution and Europa Cinemas workshop on audience development and many informal events.

CYPRUS FILM DAYS 2018 / CALL FOR ENTRIES

The Ministry of Education and Culture and Rialto Theatre announce that the Call for Entries for the 16th Cyprus Film Days International Festival 2018, is now open. The Festival, now in its 16th edition, will host for the 8th consecutive year an international competition section entitled «Glocal Images», inviting fiction feature films from Cyprus and abroad to submit their works. The Artistic Committee of the Festival decided to incorporate a Cypriot Films Competition Section, given that they fulfill the criteria as stated in the Festival Rules and Regulations.

7th INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Recognising the short film as a unique audiovisual medium, the 7th International Short Film Festival of Cyprus, has returned to the Rialto Theatre from the 14th to the 21st October, 2017, showcasing a wide selection of shorts from Cyprus and the world.
